Rested and Ready

As you may know, I was on vacation last week. Actually, it was a staycation. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and I was able to get plenty of outdoor time in, as well as quality time with the family.

Feeling rested and ready, I am super eager about seeing you this Sunday as we begin a new, 8-week sermon series entitled Facets: An In-Depth Study into the Doctrine of the Gospel. This series is intended to help us discover the beauty God’s grace from both a theological and a practical perspective. I hope you will find that your soul is as enriched by listening as mine has been by preparing this week’s message.

And you know it really is right for us to be embarking on a study that will help us better understand the height, depth, width and breadth of the gospel, because November 1st is the day way back in 1517 when people first encountered Martin Luther’s 95 Theses, which had been posted the night before on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany, in preparation for the people to gather on All Saints Day. What took place that day was nothing short of a radical rediscovery of God’s dramatic and revolutionary grace that he offers to sinners through Jesus. So, join us this week as we join in the celebration of that radical grace to the praise of God’s glory!

So until Sunday, have a great rest of the week. I can’t wait to see you then.
